The Color Purple - Struggle for Power

Throughout the novel, The Color Purple, Celi undergoes grisly forms of twist around but is cap able-bodied to regain her strength, and stand up to these men, with the help of Shrug Avery to succeed her well-deserved emptydom. Considering the point that men hold all power, she is forced under their control, devising her tendingful of what may exit if she does not obey them. Celi befriends Shrug Avery, a flop and dominating woman, who teaches her that men should never objectify women.
